Burundi Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (Burundi-ECTN)

Burundi Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (Burundi-ECTN)
According to the latest regulations of the Burundi authorities, the ECTN (BESC) policy takes effect immediately. All cargo exported to Burundi must apply for an ECTN at the port of loading. Customs clearance at the destination port requires the officially approved ECTN certificate; otherwise, clearance will not be possible and a penalty will be imposed.
ECTN stands for Electronic Cargo Tracking Note, also known as BESC, which is the French abbreviation for BORDEREAU DE SUIVI DE CARGAISON. Both terms refer to the electronic cargo tracking note.
