Starting from July 16, 2018, the COC policy (Certificate of Conformity) will be officially implemented. The Ivory Coast COC certification is often also referred to as VOC certification or PVOC certification. In fact, these are all product conformity certifications and represent the same certificate as the COC, just with different names. Products listed in the Ivory Coast import control catalog must be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity (COC) during customs clearance; otherwise, they will face heavy fines from local customs!

        CoC stands for Certificate of Conformity. Côte d'Ivoire CoC certification is a mandatory requirement in the country. This certificate must be applied for before shipment. Côte d'Ivoire CoC certification is also frequently called VOC certification or PVOC certification.

 

 

Specific Application Process for Côte d'Ivoire COC / VOC / PVOC Certification

 

Application Documents

1. COC Application Form (Request for Certificate Form)

2. Test Report

3. Proforma Invoice

4. Packing List

 

 

Application Procedure

 

1. Submit documents: Application Form (Request for Certificate Form, detailing the goods); product quality documents such as test reports, technical specifications, quality management system certificates (if any); Proforma Invoice; Packing List.

2. Determine the applicable standards for the plan.

3. If testing is required, it can be conducted in the inspection agency's laboratory; the inspection agency coordinates sampling and performs laboratory tests.

4. On-site inspection.

5. Submit final documents (Commercial Invoice and Packing List).

6. Issue the Côte d'Ivoire COC certificate.

 

Important Notes:

*** The Côte d'Ivoire COC certificate is a mandatory certification. Goods without a COC certificate will not be cleared at the destination port.

*** The certificate must be applied for before shipment. It cannot be obtained retroactively after the goods have departed.

Regarding Payment and Invoicing
For both domestic and international clients, direct payment in RMB is accepted. For foreign currency wire transfers, our company will need to charge additional foreign exchange handling fees and intermediary bank charges.
