Sierra Leone – Entry Summary Number / Cargo Tracking Note (ENS/CTN)

        ENS stands for Entry Summary Number, meaning Electronic Cargo Tracking Note. In English, it is referred to as CTN (Cargo Tracking Note) or BESC (BORDEREAU DE SUIVI DE CARGAISON).

Sierra Leone CTN / Sierra Leone ENS Number Application

　　 According to a notice from the Sierra Leone Ports Authority (SLPA), all containers imported into the country must comply with the requirement for advance cargo declaration, i.e., Advanced Cargo Declaration (ACD), and provide a Cargo Declaration Number (CTN). The local port authority will decide whether to allow the cargo to be loaded and shipped from the port of origin based on the advance manifest information.　　 

        Guangzhou Aopai International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. is the authorized agent of the Sierra Leone Ports Authority in China, primarily responsible for handling applications and issuing certificates for the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ENS) in China and the Asia-Pacific region. Under normal procedures, the number can be issued within 2 working days.

The specific application process for Sierra Leone ENS/CTN is as follows:

Application Documents

1. Submit application documents: ACD/ENS APPLICATION FORM

2. Shipping Order (SO) released by the carrier

3. Draft Bill of Lading (DRAFT B/L COPY)

4. Commercial Invoice

5. Export Declaration

Application Process

1. Upon receiving the above documents, we will prepare a draft ENS and a payment notice for the applicant. Once the draft is confirmed, the ENS number will be released and the original ENS certificate will be issued within two working days.

2. The applicant makes the payment and provides the bank slip. After we confirm the receipt of funds, we will arrange to issue the ACD/CTN number. The applicant then provides the ACD/CTN number to the shipping company for issuing the original Bill of Lading.

3. After receiving the BSC NO., the applicant can provide this number to the shipping company for issuing the Bill of Lading.

Note: The ACD/ENS must be applied for before the shipping company issues the original ocean Bill of Lading.

Regarding Payment and Invoicing
     For both domestic and international clients, payment can be made directly in RMB. For foreign currency telegraphic transfers, we will need to charge additional foreign exchange handling fees and intermediary bank charges.
